Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu - Fundamentals
The best place to start. This class gives you the core movements, techniques, and concepts that everything else in BJJ is built on. Every session includes a warm-up, technique drilling, and live practice — and grapplers of all levels train here, not just beginners.
Brand new to BJJ? Come on a Monday or Tuesday. Those days we have a coach dedicated to first-timers who'll run you through the basics in a short, one-on-one intro session — happening alongside the regular class, so you get personal attention before you jump into the full group. Just let the front desk know it's your first time.
When: Mon/Wed 6:30–7:30am, Mon-Fri 11:30am–12:30pm & 6–7pm · Sat 11:30am–12:30pm
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu - Advanced
For experienced students ready to level up. A faster, deeper look at Jiu-Jitsu against skilled opponents, standing and on the ground. Heavy emphasis on flowing transitions, lots of live sparring, and developing an attacking style that fits you. Train here alongside the most experienced members of the academy.
The advanced curriculum is designed by UFC fighter and academy founder Ryan Hall, who also leads many of these classes himself — so the techniques you learn come straight from one of the sport's most respected minds.
When: Mon–Thu 7–8:30pm
Women's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
One of the longest-running women's BJJ programs in the country, started in 2009 by Head Coach Jen Hall. It's a relaxed, welcoming class built for beginners to learn and grow under accomplished female instructors.
You don't have to be young or fit to start. Our students range from age 14 to over 50 — students, moms, nurses, military, business owners. Whether you're here for self-defense, fitness, or competition, the class meets you where you are.
When: Sat 11:30am–12:30pm
Judo
Known as "the gentle way," Judo is the art of the throw — grip control, balance, and clean, powerful takedowns. It's beautiful to learn and a serious advantage for any grappler.
Led by David Terao, ranked #1 in the U.S. at 60kg, who's trained Judo since age 6. Our Fundamentals class is built for beginners and intermediates in a supportive, structured setting. No experience needed — just show up ready to learn.

Wrestling
The foundation of grappling, MMA, and real self-defense. You'll learn to move efficiently, defend on your feet, and hit a wide range of takedowns. Led by American University alumni David Terao (2016 NCAA All-American) and Josh Terao(NCAA Qualifier).
Great whether you want to sharpen your Jiu-Jitsu, prep for MMA, or just build confidence on your feet.
When: Mon 8:30–9:30pm · Fri 7–8pm
Kickboxing
A well-rounded striking class that isn't tied to any single art. You'll learn punches, kicks, and footwork drawn from Muay Thai, kickboxing, and traditional boxing — mixed together as it makes sense for real use. Built for beginners and intermediates, it gives you a solid striking foundation whether you're after fitness, self-defense, a base for MMA, or just want to pull from the best of every striking style.
Gear: hand wraps, 16oz gloves, shin/foot pads.
